Non-Profits Receive Greenpower Grants

Still0421_00002EUGENE, Ore. — Saving energy is generating a lot of green for two local non-profits.

The Eugene Hearing and Speech Center and the Relief Nursery, each won a 2014 Greenpower Grant from EWEB.

The organizations were presented $50,000 this weekend. Both plan to use the money to install solar panel systems at their Eugene centers.

Other 2014 finalists include the Lane Transit District and University of Oregon’s Erb Memorial Union.
