Nathan Owen has been a soldier with the National Guard for over five and a half years.  He has served our country in Iraq during that time.  Today Nathan heads out for his two week annual training with the National Guard.  Also today Nathan found out his customized 1985 Toyota 4×4 had been stolen.  All this on a weekend when we memorialize our veterans.

This is a truck that Nathan had been pouring money into with the hopes of using it as a “push truck” at the Cottage Grove Speedway this year. A speedway that Nathan’s family has been actively helping for years.  Nathan’s father, Ernie Owen, is a well known icon at the Cottage Grove Speedway.

Nathan is hoping that we can all work together to get the information about his stolen truck out there, and that the people responsible can be brought to justice. It’s the least we can do for this soldier.

Here is some of the information on Nathan’s  stolen truck:

Year/Make/Model: 1985 Toyota 4×4 truck

Engine/Transmission: Chevrolet 4.3l  V6, with a Turbo-Hydro 350 automatic transmission

Description: This is a dark green truck with the exception of the driver’s door. That door is a light primer color. This truck is equipped with a custom built steel flatbed with rollbar/light bar. The flatbed is black.

Valuables in the truck:
All Alpine stereo system
10″ Alpine Type R speaker
2 6×9 speakers
2 6″ speakers
1000w Mono Block Alpine PDX
Tool box full of tools.
There is also a CB in the truck, a Galaxy DX 959, and a fire stick fender mounted antenna on the passenger side fender.
Nathan’s truck was stolen from in front of the Lindale Apartments on Laura Street and Lindale  in Springfield between the hours of 1-5 am this morning. May 24, 2014

If you have ANY information on Nathan’s truck that would help in it’s recovery please contact the Springfield Police Department at: (541) 726-3714.
