Salem OR – Last night at 8:50 p.m., deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office were called to the parking lot of the Red Robin located at 3610 Center Street NE on a reported disturbance. The Sheriff’s Office has determined that prior to their arrival an altercation took place between two groups of people within the parking lot of the restaurant and at some point multiple shots were fired.

Shortly after the parking lot shooting the Sheriff’s Office received additional calls of more shots being fired a short distance from the original altercation. As a result of the shooting within the parking lot two adult victims were treated for gunshot wounds and later released from the Salem Hospital. No injuries were reported at the second shooting scene.

Detectives worked through the night and are continuing to follow up on leads produced from their investigation. Although no arrests have been made in the case, detectives have no evidence suggesting that there is any immediate danger to the public. Detectives do believe however that the shooting and altercation is gang related.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with information in regard to the shooting to please call our Tip Line at 503-540-8079. You can remain anonymous.
