The Oregon Ducks enter their first road game of the 2014 tonight in Pullman. Oregon needs to turn around their most recent road record of 0-2 where they finished last season. Losses to Arizona and Stanford on the road led to an Alamo Bowl berth rather than a chance at a National Title in 2014. This season of course brings the first ever College Football Playoff and Oregon with a 3-0 start is in a good position right now for a semi-final, but the winning has to continue.

Washington State hosts Oregon and Quarterback Marcus Mariota, who will be playing in Pullman for the first time in his career. The Offense has been solid so far this season leading the way, but the Oregon Defense, at times, has shown some cracks allowing each team they played in their non-conference schedule yards on the ground and through the air. The latter will be a big focus against the Cougars.

One key player on Defense in 2014 has been Erick Dargan. He has three interceptions in the last three weeks and has stolen some of thunder from Cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu who has not had much opportunity this season as opposing offenses know how talented he is in the backfield and have not thrown in his direction. I expect that to change on Saturday.

With more of a passing attack than a running attack tonight should be a good night for the Oregon Ducks Defense, or Washington State with Connor Halliday at Quarterback will dice up Oregon to a win for Cougars.

WSU has some talent at the Wide Receiver position including Isaac Myers and Dom Williams who have a combined seven scores through three games this season. Halliday has thrown twelve touchdowns in 2014, but the Cougars are just 1-2 on the season. A big reason, they have no running game. Washington State averages forty yards per game on the ground. Halliday would lead to a milestone night for the hometeam or Oregon could make a statement with an early Pac-12 season win.

The Oregon Ducks will also look to more milestones on Saturday night. Cornerback Ifo Ekpre- Olomu is eight tackles away from reaching two-hundred in his career as a Duck and with a touchdown pass Mariota will continue his streak of a pass for a score for every game in his Oregon career.

The Oregon Ducks QB can also add to his Heisman Campaign with a good performance with fellow contender Florida State Quarterback Jameis Winston sitting out the game for the Seminoes tonight against Clemson.

Oregon is favored by twenty four points against the Washington State Cougars in Pullman.

Eugene Daily News will have live coverage from tonight’s game, again using the #EDNSports on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. If your heading to Pullman for the game, feel free to share your gameday photos too. Coverage begins with AutzenZoo.com and our TwitterStream at 7:00pm Pacific Time.
