Rip City Visits McCornack Elementary

10-27 blazer pkcEUGENE, Ore. — Eugene usually goes green and yellow for game day, but Monday it was all about the red and black.

Portland Trail Blazers representatives, along with Blaze the Trail Cat and members of the Blazer Dancers were at McCornack Elementary.

It’s all part of the statewide Rip City Relay, ahead of the team’s season opener.

Blazers representatives, along with Mayor Kitty Piercy, raised a Rip City flag, then took over a school assembly.

The weeklong journey ends at the Moda Center.

The Blazers play Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct. 29.
