One of the vehicles involved was a Eugene Police car. Police say around 4 p.m. the officer was going east on 11th and was responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens on. That’s when a car travelling north on Bertelson T-boned the police car.

The officer’s vehicle spun out and hit another car. No one was injured.

“All the occupants were okay. Our officer was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, treated and released. The other drivers remained on scene and were cooperative with the investigation,” says Sergeant Ron Tinseth.

Police did skid testing on scene as well as mapping as part of the investigation.
