urgent careSPRINGFIELD, Ore. — Changes on the way for PeaceHealth at RiverBend, as its urgent care gets ready to move to a new location.

The new space will be at the Gateway Marketplace, just down the road for its current location.

The plan has been in the works for more than a year. The hospital believes the move will benefit patients because of the extra parking, and will prevent confusion with the hospital’s emergency department.

“I think it’s a good idea because it separates it from the hospital and there’s so much confusion about urgent care and where you go. Do you go to the emergency room or urgent care? I think this is a nice idea. I really do,” said Springfield resident, Kristen SanRomani.

The RiverBend location will close Wednesday, March 4 in the evening, and reopen at its new location Thursday, March 5 at 7:00 a.m.
