Teenagers Take Unknown Drug

3-16 teen drugEUGENE, Ore. — The Eugene Police Department says it’s concerned after responding to two teenage boys acting erratically after taking an unknown drug.

The Eugene Police Department says it responded to a home in the 2900 block of Summit Terrace Drive early Sunday morning.

Police say two boys, ages 14 and 15 were acting violently and had an abnormal amount of strength.

While police don’t know what drug they took, police say it appears they took hallucinogens.

Police say the teens are not facing any criminal charges because they did not have drugs in their possession at the time of the incident.

“It’s  kind of hard to go after kids for that when it’s drugs and no other crime and no injuries to officers or other people. But, certainly concerning and had they been caught with the drugs themselves they’d be looking at felony drug charges,” said Lt. Scott Fellman.

During the incident one of the boys was running around in his underwear. Another got in a tussle with police officers.

It took multiple officers to restrain the boy.
