Lane County Parties Gear Up For Monday Night’s Debate

EUGENE, Ore. — Local Democrat and Republican parties are gearing up to watch the candidates face off in Monday night’s debate. 

 Officials with the local Democratic and Republican Party said this is an important step for the rest of the election season.

Officials with the Donald Trump Campaign of Lane County said they want to hear Trump touch on how to make our country safe again.

They said since the beginning, Trump has focused on building a wall and other points like terrorism, and solving inner city violence.

They said they are excited to hear the solutions these problems. 

  Democratic Party of Lane County officials said they want to hear Hillary Clinton talk about fixing the economy, student loans and continuing the progress Obama has made.

Both sides said they hope they can hear these solutions to our country’s problems. 

The Democratic Party will hold a watch party at Laurel Wood Golf Course.

The Republican Party watch party said their watch party will be at their headquarters. Both parties said anyone is welcome.
