Police Involved in a Wild Car Chase

EUGENE, Ore. – Eugene Police were on a wild car chase late Thursday night after a man hit a car and left the scene abruptly.

Police said 35-year-old Adam Morgan rear-ended a car on West 11th St. and drove off at about 11 o’clock Thursday night.

They said Morgan then drove into a fence on 1st and Seneca St. and was later spotted on Roosevelt and Bethel.

Police said Morgan nearly hit a pedestrian and a police cruiser as he ran over signs at the crosswalk.

An officer then forcefully stopped Morgan with his car on North Cleveland St., and took him into custody.

Fortunately, no one was injured during the high speed chase.

Morgan is charged with a number of misdemeanors that include reckless driving, DUII, recklessly endangering, hit and run and attempting to elude police.
