Oregon-Baylor rematch in NCATA Tournament

EUGENE, Ore. – Third-seeded Oregon will meet second-seeded Baylor in the first round of the four-team 2021 National Collegiate Acrobatics and Tumbling Association (NCATA) National Tournament on Thursday, April 22, at 5 p.m. (PT) in Waco, Texas.
The Ducks (2-2) and the Bears (4-1) will meet for the third time this season with the two teams splitting the first two meets. The Ducks handed the Bears a 281-635-280.660 defeat on March 6 in Matthew Knight Arena. Baylor evened the season series beating Oregon at home 287.430-283.885 on Saturday night.
“We are so pumped and ready for the tournament,” Oregon head coach Keenyn Won said. “Although we had a few mistakes and lost the meet this past weekend against Baylor, we also saw a lot of highs including the execution of our team event, which is something we’ve put our focus on since our meet vs. Azusa Pacific.
“The turnaround time between now and the tournament is short, but we are motivated and ready to get back to practice,” Won added. “Our goal over the next week is to focus on execution and cleaning up the deductions we have received during the regular season. This past year has been one filled with challenges, but this team is truly something special and I can’t wait for us to go to battle together in the tournament and finish this year out strong.”
The winner of the Oregon against Baylor matchup will face the winner of top-seeded Azusa Pacific and fourth-seed Hawaii Pacific on Friday at 5 p.m. (PT). All three meets will be nationally televised on ESPN+.
