Eugene man arrested for violating terms of pre-trial release agreement


Eugene Police Violent Crimes detectives have arrested Ely Macias, age 32, of Eugene, for violating terms of his pre-trial release agreement. Macias was arrested in April 30, 2021, related to charges of Sexual Abuse in the First Degree and Sodomy in the First Degree.  

Macias was involved in an incident on Tuesday, July 13, that was posted to Facebook and passed to the original detective investigating the crimes listed above. A new investigation was opened and Macias was found to have been with at least two minor-aged females at the time of the incident on July 13. 

Macias’s bail was revoked and he remains in custody at the Lane County jail facility after turning himself in this afternoon, July 16, 2021.
