EUGENE, Ore. – Yuki Moriyama tied for 16th at the 2021 Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship, while Tom Gueant helped France finish fourth at the 2021 Spirit International amateur golf championship.
                                                                                                                          
In a field of the top 120 amateur golfers from the Asia-Pacific region, Moriyama finished at 6-under 278 (71-70-65-72) at the par 71 Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He shot a 6-under 65 in the third round Friday where he carded six birdies and 12 pars.
 
At the Spirit International, played at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas, Gueant was among 80 men’s and women’s amateur golfers from 20 countries selected to compete for their country.

Gueant had his best round of the tournament on Saturday, a 2-over 74, to help France finish fourth at 2-under 646. Each country was represented by two female and two male golfers.
 
The Ducks return to college competition Monday through Wednesday at the Saint Mary’s Invitational to wrap up the fall season.
