PENDLETON — Circumstances are forcing Pendleton High School to change its traditional graduation date to something yet to be determined.

“Traditionally, graduation has gone on the first Saturday after Memorial Day, and we’d love to keep it there. It works great,” Pendleton School District Superintendent Kevin Headings said, “but unfortunately the Oregon School Athletic Association has changed their calendar. If we keep graduation on that Saturday that is the same weekend now that the OSAA has the state track championships. Before the championships happened a couple weeks before graduation.”
