Lochmead Dairy and the Gibson family are searching for “Aretha” the missing Lochmead fiberglass cow.

Sometime after dark on the weekend of August 18th a man approached security personnel at the Brownsville Music Festival and identified himself as a representative of Lochmead Dairies. The man proceeded to indicate he was there to pick up the cow (Aretha) and take her to a different location. The man loaded the lifesize fiberglass cow into the back of his pickup and drove off.

Earlier that day festival security had observed the cow “walking” it’s way through the crowd, apparently aided by several individuals. When the security guard yelled at them to stop, they dropped the victim and fled the scene. Authorities have no description of the suspects.

Lochmead Dairy is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Aretha and in securing her safe return. A reward is being offered for information leading to Aretha’s return.

Anyone with information is asked to call or text the Finding Aretha Hotline at 541-991-8790, or leave a tip via the form below.
