Eugene, OR. One person was transported to a local hospital after a canoe capsized on the Willamette River Saturday afternoon.  At 5:11 PM on June 29th, Eugene Springfield Fire was called for a water rescue near the Knickerbocker bike bride.  Bystanders reported seeing a canoe capsize with two boaters on board.  One boater was wearing a life jacket and was able to make it ashore while the other boater was rescued by a nearby drift boat. The second individual wax treated by ESF Paramedics and transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
