Eugene-Springfield: GREEN- Burning wood in wood stoves or fireplaces is allowed.

Oakridge: GREEN- Burning wood in wood stoves or fireplaces is allowed.

*Pellet stoves can be used anytime since they don’t produce the particulate smoke.

  • A PERMANENT HEALTH ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER BAR. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED ALONG SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE  RIVER.

THE WEATHER PATTERN:

  • The Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) has moved over the Pacific Northwest bringing lots of sunshine for a while. The graphics for days 1-3  show high pressure taking over and with clearing skies and no rain. Low pressure will move in for a change starting Sunday. The graphics for days 3-7    Monday through Friday show active weather with complex frontal systems active over the Pacific Ocean moving toward then into the Pacific Northwest.

Forecast For The South Willamette Valley Including Eugene-Springfield:

  • Partly cloudy with patchy AM fog, sunny and a bit cooler this afternoon, clear this evening, partly cloudy late tonight,
  • Partly cloudy and a bit cooler Saturday and in the evening, mostly cloudy late at night,
  • Mostly cloudy and a bit cooler with a (40%) chance of rain Sunday, then rain Sunday night.
  • highs 58-55 lows near 37.
  • Mostly cloudy with rain and much cooler Monday with a slight (20%) chance of afternoon thunderstorms, showers with snow and possible thunderstorms Monday night (snow level 1,000 ft.),
  • Mostly cloudy and a bit warmer with rain Tuesday and Wednesday, mostly cloudy both nights,
