PENDLETON — The National Weather Service in Pendleton is urging holiday travelers to be prepared for rapidly changing conditions and winter driving.

The NWS issued a special weather statement Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 20, warning after a cold morning Dec. 22, another round of precipitation would move in, affecting the inland Northwest by the afternoon. The wintry precipitation mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain should continue to push northward into the Columbia Basin on Dec. 23.
