At 5:08 a.m., November 27, a Dodge pickup was reported to have rolled over and caught fire on eastbound Beltline Hwy. near Hwy. 99. The involved driver was able to exit the vehicle. Eugene Springfield Fire responded for the fire and transported the driver to a local hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Eugene Police responded to investigate and for traffic control.
The roadway was icy and water from the truck crash also led to more ice. A deicer was requested from ODOT. The roadway was reopened to traffic at about 6:27 a.m.
