Eugene, OR. Eugene Springfield Fire crews responded to a possible fire at the Lane County court house on E 8th Ave in downtown Eugene Tuesday night. Sheriffs Deputies called reporting a strong smell of smoke in the building. Fire crews arrived and found an HVAC unit on the roof had malfunctioned causing the smoke smell. There was no damage to the building, no injuries and the court house remains operational.
