ENTERPRISE — The Greater Idaho measure on Wallowa County’s May 16 ballot has passed, by a seven-vote margin — a margin that falls just short of requiring an automatic recount.

After one challenged ballot was added to the tally on Tuesday, June 6, the final unofficial result for Ballot Measure 32-007 was 1,752-1,745. That margin of victory works out to be slightly more than 0.2% — just above the threshold set by state law for an automatic recount. State law calls for an automatic recount in races where the margin is not more than 0.2%.
