HERMISTON — The defendant in the case of the March 11 hit-and-run in Hermiston now faces the new charge of second-degree manslaughter.

A Umatilla County grand jury on March 16 already indicted Anthony Solis Lemus, 25, of Hermiston, on charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants, reckless driving and counts for felony assault on Jennifer Whelan, 43.
