Man who led international prostitution ring, including brothels in Portland area, sentenced to 2 years in prison

Zongtao Chen, 49, appeared in federal court in Portland Thursday. “He was truly at the crux of the operation,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Julia E. Jarrett wrote to the court. “His management and leadership were vital to the organization’s success.”

A Toronto man described as one of the leaders of a large-scale international prostitution ring was sentenced Thursday to two years in federal prison.
