Oregon’s Grace VanSlooten made the cut for USA Basketball’s women’s U18 national team.

VanSlooten is among 12 players to make the final roster from a group of 30 finalists who competed during four days of trials in Colorado Springs.

Team USA will play at the 2022 FIBA U18 women’s Americas Championship in Buenos Aires from June 13-19, starting against Colombia on June 13, Puerto Rico on June 14 and El Salvador on June 15 before tournament play begins on June 17. The USA has won gold in the last nine FIBA U18 Women’s Americas Championships and 10 gold medals since the event’s inception in 1988.

The rest of the squad includes Isuneh Brady (UConn), Aalyah Del Rosario, Kailyn Gilbert (Arizona), Londynn Jones (UCLA), Chloe Kitts, Cotie McMahon (Ohio State), S’Mya Nichols, Indya Nivar (Stanford), Courtney Ogden, Justine Pissott (Tennessee) and KiKi Rice (UCLA).

The team is coached by Texas A&M’s Joni Taylor, Old Dominion’s DeLisha Milton-Jones and Indiana’s Teri Moren.
