OKLAHOMA CITY – Oregon State and Arizona have their Women’s College World Series futures at stake Friday when the Beavers and Wildcats play an elimination game at 6:30 p.m. (ESPN2).
OSU, playing without star pitcher Mariah Mazon, lost to Florida 7-1 in its opener, while Arizona fell 4-2 to Oklahoma State.

Mazon, OSU’s top player and a third-team All-America pitcher, did not play against Florida after the school said she was “unavailable.” … Friday’s winner advances to a Sunday 4 p.m. game against the Texas-Oklahoma loser. … During the regular season, the Beavers beat Arizona in two of three games in Corvallis. … Arizona is 112-18 all-time against OSU.
