Oregon State Police troopers deployed a spike strip on Interstate 84 in Baker County on Monday night, June 5, to stop a car driven by a Portland woman who was wanted for custodial interference after taking a 6-year-old boy from a home in Clark County, Washington.
According to an OSP report, troopers arrested April Boutillette Brinkman, 51, around midnight on the eastbound freeway near Milepost 349, about 45 miles southeast of Baker City.
