Alonna Mitsch was arrested on a disorderly conduct allegation on Aug. 17, 2019, after police said she was blocking a police van in the bike lane of a downtown street during dueling protest events.  The case went to trial and a jury acquitted her of the charge.

The city will pay $75,000 to settle a federal lawsuit filed by a woman arrested by Portland police in 2019 after she was seen twerking in a bike lane downtown and had flipped off officers during a protest.
