HERMISTON — Scott Smith was expecting a nice, quiet Saturday morning breakfast with his wife on May 6 at The Pheasant Blue Collar Bar & Grill on Hermiston’s Main Street. It turned out to be anything but.
Smith said he was approached by a stranger who said, “I think you’re the guy I’m looking for.” Smith had no clue who the man was or what he was referring to. The stranger then reportedly said that his girlfriend hadn’t come home the night before and that she had “a thing for guys with beards.”
