UMATILLA — A semitractor-trailer crashed into another semi hauling two tanks Monday, Dec. 12, near Umatilla, sparking a fire that ripped through the first big rig.
Umatilla County Fire District No. 1 reported it responded at 2:17 p.m. to a call for assistance on the eastbound side of Interstate 82 near milepost 1 east of Umatilla for a vehicle fire.
