UPDATE:
At 12:53 p.m. on September 4, Eugene Police responded to a reported crash between a Suzuki SZ650 motorcycle and a Mazda Hatchback at the intersection of Barger and Dakota.
A motorcycle with a rider and passenger were traveling westbound on Barger. A car made a left hand turn in front of the motorcycle and the motorcycle collided with the left side of the passenger car, ejecting both riders. Both riders sustained serious, but not life threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital.
The Mazda’s driver was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.
Barger was closed to through traffic for approximately 2 hours while the investigation was conducted. Case 22-13403

Traffic Advisory – Barger Dr & Dakota St
The Eugene Police Department is advising motorists to avoid the area of Barger Dr. and Dakota St. due to a traffic collision. Both directions of Barger at Dakota will be closed until further notice.
