ECHO — Volunteers from the Hermiston Rotary Club, Oregon National guard and ShelterBox, a United Kingdom-based international organization that provides aid during natural disasters, came together Sept. 8-10 near Echo to practice disaster scenarios at the third ShelterBox Ambassador Field Experience event.
The event, hosted by Lloyd Piercy on the Snow Road Echo West Ranch, was designed to help ShelterBox ambassadors, local emergency responders and other interested parties better understand the challenges and complexities of aiding people after a disaster.
