A person was killed in a single-vehicle crash Tuesday morning in Northeast Portland, police said.

Officers responded to reports of the crash near Northeast Prescott Street and 102nd Avenue about 5:30 a.m., police said in a news release.

Investigators found a vehicle that had crashed into a power pole, police said. The driver, who initially appeared to be breathing, died at the scene.

The driver was not publicly identified, and police did not say what caused the crash.
