Tim Chuey Weather:
Your Saturday and Sunday will be dry and pleasant. Look for a chance of rain to start the workweek, then it’s back to dry.
A frontal system is sending more clouds and some rain back to Oregon into Saturday AM. There will be a relatively dry period for the weekend as an upper level high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on the yellow line) takes over. A frontal system will be pushed in by an upper level low (“U” shape on yellow line) early next week giving us a short burst with chances for rain. So far, it looks like most of next week will be dry. The snow levels still will not come down low enough or long enough to increase the possibility of some serious mountain snow.
Forecast for the Southern and lower Mid Willamette Valley including Eugene-Springfield and Albany-Corvallis: Mostly cloudy with patchy AM fog, partly cloudy this afternoon, partly cloudy with patchy fog and frost late tonight and Sunday AM, partly cloudy with patchy lingering fog Sunday afternoon, partly cloudy with patchy fog late Sunday night and Monday AM, mostly cloudy with a slight (20%) chance of rain Monday afternoon, then rain likely (60%) Monday night highs 44-48 lows 33-35. A mix of clouds and sun Tuesday, partly cloudy with patchy late night and early AM fog Tuesday night through Wednesday night, just partly cloudy Thursday and Thursday night, then a mix of clouds and sun with a slight (20%) chance of rain Friday highs 46-49 lows near 30. Because weather forecasting is a combination of science, intuition, and timing there can be no absolute guarantees that individual forecasts will be 100% accurate. Nature is in a constant state of flux and sudden unexpected weather events can happen.
