E-Bike Expo

Spend a Friday night checking out a wide variety of e-bike models all in one place. Meet local makers and shop owners, try a ride or two, talk with Eugenians using their e-bikes for their commute or to haul their kids to school, learn the rules of the road, and so much more. If you are interested in E-bike test rides, local bike shops, local E-bike makers, food trucks and free childcare then this event is for you! This free event is hosted by City of Eugene Transportation and open to everyone.

2021 Scandinavian Festival

Celebrate local Scandinavian heritage with food, crafts and entertainment at Junction City’s 61th Scandinavian Festival. Three stages of entertainment are filled with choral and instrumental groups, folk dancers and informational presentations. Find unusual handicrafts of Scandinavian culture such as Hardanger Embroidery, bobbin lace and Rosemaling. Vendors sell homemade paintings, woodcrafts, jewelry and more. Get classic fair food such as caramel corn and cotton candy, but be sure not to miss the Danish favorite, aebleskivers!

Also be sure to check out the Scandia Run 10K and 5K Run/Walk on Saturday morning.

Junction City historical museums The Dr. Norman L. Lee House Museum and The Mary E. Pitney House Museum will be open daily during the Scandinavian Festival. This event and other cultural events held in Junction City are produced by the Junction City Scandinavian Festival Association.

United Way’s 75th Anniversary Kickoff in the Park!

This August, United Way of Lane County celebrates 75 years of investing in local communities – and this year, United Way is launching bold initiatives to further cultivate just, resilient communities where every child succeeds and local communities thrive.

Come along for this family-friendly celebration: get the inside “scoop” (literally, with ice cream!) on exciting new investments and nationally- acclaimed speakers that United Way of Lane County brings to Lane County

The event will feature: free ice cream, food trucks, networking, family activities (magic show, story time, etc.), unveiling of bold anniversary plans, and more.

OFAM 2021 Community Sing-Along

The Festival Community Sing-Alongs are a great way to get into the music! As usual, there are two sessions in the Sheffer Recital Hall, each with its own song list, open to all-comers. Amy Adams and The Shedd’s Singing Road Scholar and Shedd Singing Club lead this Week 1 Sing-Along, which focuses on great songs from movies of the 1930s and 40s.

2021 Lane County Fair

Excellent family fun, concerts, carnival rides, games and entertainment. All types of carnival rides will be at the fair, including a large Ferris Wheel to give you a bird’s eye view of the fairgrounds and Eugene. Enjoy favorite food vendors with classic fair fare such as elephant ears, cotton candy, barbecue and so much ice cream. Browse the animal and agricultural exhibits, arts and crafts and expo hall. This year’s creative exhibits include Beer & Wine, Floral, Food Preservation, Textiles, Photography and more. Horses, cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits and poultry will be shown and judged for both adult and youth competition.

This year’s concert headliners TBA.

Advance ticketing recommended. Pandemic protocols will be in place, event plans subject to change.

2021 Adkins Farm Blueberry Festival Blues and Brews

The 10th Annual Adkins Blueberry Festival Blues and Brews event offers great local music and even better local beer. Check off your summer bucket list items by blueberry picking, eating from delicious food & drink carts, and participating in fun kid’s activities, including a performance by magician, Dr. Delusions. Get a taste for the Eugene music scene by listening to live performances from bands such as The Canyoneers, Gumbo Groove, Dragon Thunder Voodoo, and the Muddy Souls. The Adkins Blueberry Farm is working with CASA of Lane County for this event and will be collecting donations at the gate.

Virtual Oregon Country Fair

For 2021, the OCF event has been replaced with a virtual experience. Wander the 3D “Fair in the Clouds” and enjoy interactive mapping. OCF merchandise is available online. Visit their website for details.

Nestled in the forest along the banks of the Long Tom River, the Oregon Country Fair features vaudeville, circus acts, spoken word, wandering musicians, face painting, parades and other perennial favorites. Fairgoers will enjoy 18 stages of entertainment, more than 80 food booths and nearly 350 craft booths featuring more than 700 vendors.

McKenzie River Lavender Bloom

McKenzie River Lavender Bloom celebrates the beauty and aroma of lavender in full bloom along the banks of the McKenzie River. Shop for specialty handcrafted treasures in the Lavender Boutique and from local artisans. Pick a lavender bouquet to take home or capture a selfie among the lavender plants. Take home a new lavender start for your home garden. Relax, listen to live music, and choose appetizing treats and beverages from local food carts. Ticket proceeds support the local Walterville Boy Scout Troop managing the parking. State COVID guidelines will be followed.

Tokatee Golf Club Fireworks Celebration

Tokatee Golf Club will celebrate its 55th anniversary with a golf tournament and festivities. Grab a drink from the beergarden and a bite from food trucks, listen to live music and watch the fireworks at dusk at this beautiful golf course near the McKenzie River.
