TRAFFIC ALERT: A structure fire has closed US 20E at milepost 7, east of Albany.

Former Albany Officer Pleads Guilty to Harassment

LINN COUNTY, Ore. — A former Albany police officer pleaded guilty Thursday to a harassment charge of a sexual nature.

 

Rick Hawley was accused of sexually abusing an adult male while he was off duty at a party.

 

Hawley entered a plea negotiation.

 

He must pay $2,000 to the victim plus additional court fees.

 

He was sentenced to one day in jail, but he has already served that time and is now released from the court.
