Tim Chuey Weather:

Clouds will increase and so will the temperatures with a chance of rain for a short time at least.

High: 45
Low: 26
Rain: 20%

A high pressure ridge (“Arch” shape on the jet stream) has been keeping us cold. That also means that our air quality has been suffering with the sinking air of high pressure holding on to the pollutants at the surface. The ridge is slidding over to be replaced by a low pressure trough (“U” shape on the jet stream) allowing more clouds, warmer temperatures, and maybe even a chance of precipitation returning over the weekend.

Forecast for the Southern and lower Mid Willamette Valley including Eugene-Springfield and Albany-Corvallis: Mostly cloudy with areas of fog and freezing fog this AM, mostly cloudy with patchy fog in the afternoon, mostly cloudy with a slight (20%) chance of rain in the evening, a (30%) chance of rain late tonight, a (30%) chance of showers Sunday AM, a slight (20%) chance of afternoon showers, mostly cloudy with areas of fog and patchy freezing fog late Sunday night and Monday AM, a mix of clouds and sun in the afternoon, then just mostly cloudy Monday night highs 45-37 lows 32-26. Mostly cloudy with a (30%) chance of rain Tuesday and Tuesday night, mostly cloudy with a good (50%) chance of rain Wednesday and Wednesday night, cloudy with a (40%) chance of rain Thursday and Thursday night, then mostly cloudy with a (30%) chance of rain Friday highs 45-42 lows 35-30.
