THE WEATHER PATTERN

An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape)  will keep temperatures at or a bit above normal. The graphics for days 1-3  show a dry cold front pushing through the Pacific Northwest today. The graphics for days 3-7   Friday through Tuesday show a frontal system moving through the Pacific Northwest Saturday into Sunday.

  • A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM TONIGHT FOR WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE LOWER COLUMBIA BASIN OF OREGON.
  • A WIND ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM TONIGHT FOR THE EASTERN COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE OF OREGON, THE LOWER COLUMBIA BASIN OF OREGON, THE FOOTHILLS OF THE NORTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS OF OREGON, THE FOOTHILLS OF THE SOUTHERN BLUE MOUNTAINS OF OREGON, AND NORTH CENTRAL OREGON.
