PEOPLE IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP CYANOBACTERIA (BLUE-GREEN ALGAE) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED AT SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE RIVER.

THE WEATHER PATTERN

  • The strong Upper Level Airflow is helping to push cold fronts into the Pacific Northwest. The graphics for days 1-3 show the frontal system that’s approaching then moving through Oregon Friday. The graphics for days 3-7  Sunday through Thursday show frontal activity for the Pacific Northwest  Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and next Wednesday. Yet another complex frontal system will be offshore next Thursday.

Forecast for the South Willamette Valley including Eugene-Springfield:

  • Mostly cloudy rain tonight (0.10 in. of rain possible),
