A RECREATIONAL HEALTH ADVISORY IS IN EFFECT FOR AREAS AROUND EAGLE RIDGE COUNTY PARK IN UPPER KLAMATH LAKE IN KLAMATH COUNTY DUE THE PRESENCE OF A CYANOBACTERIA (BLUE-GREEN ALGAE) BLOOM AND CYANOTOXINS ABOVE RECREATIONAL USE VALUES FOR HUMAN EXPOSURE. PEOPLE SHOULD AVOID SWIMMING AND HIGH-SPEED WATER ACTIVITIES, SUCH AS WATER SKIING OR POWER BOATING, IN AREAS OF THE LAKE WHERE BLOOMS ARE, AS THE MAJOR RISK OF EXPOSURE IS FROM INGESTING WATER. THE WEATHER PATTERN

The Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) bubbling up from the southwest still keeps us hot, but relief is on the way as it weakens. The graphics for days 1-3 show a slow moving frontal system attempting to move into Oregon Monday and Tuesday. The graphics for days 3-7 Wednesday through Sunday show a frontal system pushing into the Pacific Northwest Wednesday through Friday, yet another front will be to our northwest next Sunday.
