  • A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM TONIGHT FOR STRONG GUSTY WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE KLAMATH BASIN AND THE FREMONT-WINEMA NATIONAL FOREST.
  • A RED FLAG WARNING IS IN EFFECT THROUGH 8 PM TONIGHT FOR STRONG GUSTY WIND AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY FOR THE SOUTH CENTRAL OREGON DESERT INCLUDING THE BLM LAND IN EASTERN LAKE AND WESTERN HARNEY COUNTIES.

HEALTH ADVISORIES

  • A PERMANENT HEALTH ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR THE SOUTH UMPQUA RIVER BAR. POOLS IN THE BEDROCK ALONG THE RIVERS EDGE ARE KNOWN TO DEVELOP BLUE-GREEN ALGAE (CYANOBACTERIAL) BLOOMS THAT CAN BE HARMFUL TO PETS AND PEOPLE IF ACCIDENTAL INGESTION OCCURS. SIGNS HAVE BEEN POSTED ALONG SEVERAL ACCESS AREAS ALONG THE  RIVER.

THE WEATHER PATTERN:

  • An Upper Level High Pressure Ridge (“Arch” shape) strengthens again bringing more sunshine (Graphics may not be updated) The graphics for days 1-3  show a frontal system moving through Oregon today. I added an updated map from another source: Today’s map. The graphics for days 3-7    Saturday through Wednesday show no frontal systems pushing through the Pacific Northwest until a complex frontal system will be moving through Oregon between Saturday and next Sunday. Yet another front headed our way next Tuesday.

  • A mix of clouds and sun and a bit warmer Saturday, mostly cloudy in the evening, then partly cloudy late Saturday night.
