MISSION — The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation’s “Strategic Energy Plan” of 2022 calls for net zero building design for new construction or major renovation and to homes and commercial buildings.
That means the overall construction achieves a balance between emitting carbon and removing it. Bruce Zimmerman, tax administrator in the Economic Development Department of the CTUIR, said making net zero happen takes a number of of partners.
