LA GRANDE — A connection cut between the sheriff offices in Union and Wallowa counties five years ago may soon be restored.
The Wallowa County Sheriff’s Office is preparing to again begin sending its inmates to the Union County Correctional Facility starting Saturday, July 1, for the first time in five years. Presently, Wallow County’s inmates are being sent to the Umatilla County Correctional Facility, Pendleton.
