PENDLETON — Pendleton Police Chief Chuck Byram confirmed a man Wednesday, June 26, shot and killed a dog that was mauling a cat.
Pendleton police at about 5:40 p.m. received a report of an armed person near Safeway, and officers responded. Byram explained a woman had two pit bull dogs — one that belonged to her and another that belonged to a friend — that got free and began attacking a cat.
