PENDLETON —Linda Witherrite of Pendleton now owns the iconic Bowman Studio overlooking the Umatilla River.
Nestled along the southern bank of the river on South Main Street, the gray-brown stone building resembles a medieval castle, even boasting a turret on its northwest corner. The Bowman Studio — or castle — was built in 1905 as a photography studio and residential space for its owner, Walter Scott Bowman.
