PENDLETON — Familiar landmarks at the crest of the Eastern Oregon Regional Airport in Pendleton will begin disappearing from sight this week.
Two water tanks with a capacity of a half million gallons each and nearby pump stations are no longer necessary to the city because of recently installed, larger and better equipment for handling municipal water.
