WASHINGTON, D.C. — A new Washingtonian will soon be honored in the nation’s Capitol.

On Thursday, Jan. 26, state and tribal officials announced an artist had been selected to design a statue of Billy Frank Jr., a Nisqually tribal member and legendary activist for environmental protections and treaty rights who died in 2014.
