BOARDMAN — With a Sept. 6 patient transfer from Hermiston to Walla Walla, the Boardman Fire Rescue District put its Oregon Health Authority-approved ambulance license to use for the first time since receiving it July 13.
Fire Chief Mike Hughes said the district — with its six paramedics, 12 emergency medical technicians and three ambulances — is limited to interfacility transfers, such as the Sept. 6 run, until the county board of commissioners gives the district approved to be part of Morrow County’s Ambulance Service Area Plan.
