HERMISTON — A Boardman man is in the Umatilla County Jail, Pendleton, following a collision Saturday night, April 29, in Hermiston that killed a woman.
Law enforcement and other emergency services at about 10 p.m. April 29 responded to the Rocket Mart, 2398 N. First St., Hermiston, on a report of a vehicle striking a pedestrian. Oregon State Police subsequently arrested Jeffrey Dean Toms, 53, for driving under the influence of intoxicants, three counts of reckless driving and one count of second-degree manslaughter.
