HERMISTON — No injuries were reported Tuesday, July 11, in a house fire in Hermiston.
Umatilla County Fire District No. 1 was dispatched to a structure fire at 2:44 p.m. in the 600 block of East Oregon Avenue. Upon arrival, smoke was showing from the second-floor windows of the residence. Crews stretched hose lines from Engine 21 and made an aggressive interior attack on a room and contents fire. As a result, crews were able to knock down the fire in less than six minutes.
