PORTLAND — Annual inspections and maintenance on three navigation locks along the Columbia River will shut down commerce for two weeks beginning March 2.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced the closure in a press release Friday, Feb. 2, and will lead the routine maintenance and inspections. There will also be additional rappel inspections at John Day by an Army Corps of Engineers climbing team.
